Economic Solidarity - Seko VArner
Seko Varner, current President of the Imani Foundation of Hampton Roads, speaks in 2003 for Old Dominion University's Minds About Progress cultural organization. The event was the groups annual Sankofa event. Preceeding the speech is a African dance group and a poem-libation. The group actually didn't receive the speech easily and Seko received some glaring comments by some of the more radical members of the African centered community and the students who were a little thrown-off by his comments that didn't fully support thier current-held academic ideas.
